Refund & Cancellation Policy

PIXIR.IN ("Pixir", "We", "Us", or "Our") operates two primary service tiers:

• Free Background Removal Studio: All consumer-facing background removal, image editing, PNG downloads, and format conversion tools provided on Pixir are 100% free of charge. There are no subscriptions, hidden fees, monthly recurring charges, or premium paywalls. Consequently, no refund policies apply to standard photo editing.
• Paid Self-Serve Advertising Platform: Advertisers and business partners can purchase sponsored display placements (in-studio loading banners and brand marquee slider impressions) via our Advertise Portal. This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies strictly to payments made for promotional campaigns.

Advertisers maintain full autonomy over their campaigns subject to the following rules:

• Cancellation Prior to Editorial Review / Activation: If you submit an advertising order and choose to cancel before our moderation team has reviewed or activated the campaign, you are entitled to a 100% full refund of the amount paid.
• Pausing Active Campaigns: Advertisers may pause an active campaign at any time through our support team. Pausing suspends show delivery and protects your remaining impression balance until you choose to resume or formally request a cancellation.
• Voluntary Cancellation of Running Campaigns: If you decide to cancel an active campaign that has already started serving impressions, you may request a partial refund strictly calculated on the remaining unserved impressions.

A refund will be initiated under the following validated circumstances:

Refunds will not be granted under the following circumstances:

• Delivered Impressions: Impressions that have already been genuinely rendered and accounted for in our ledger (e.g. 50% viewport visibility verified by client telemetry) cannot be refunded.
• Violation of Indian Laws or Platform Terms: Any campaign suspended or terminated due to intentional submission of fraudulent content, phishing, malware, hate speech, counterfeit merchandise, or infringement of intellectual property under the Information Technology Act, 2000 is non-refundable.
• Advertiser-Side Landing Page Failure: If your external destination URL becomes inaccessible, returns 404 errors, or experiences server downtime while Pixir continues to deliver valid clicks/shows, impressions served during that window are non-refundable.
• Subjective Campaign Performance: Pixir guarantees verified visual impressions across high-intent creative audiences, but does not guarantee specific external conversion rates, sales volumes, or click-through rates (CTR).

Pixir calculates partial refunds with mathematical precision using our authoritative server-side unit price:

Example: If you purchased 1,000 shows (₹20.00) and request cancellation when 400 shows have been served, your remaining 600 unserved shows will generate an exact refund of ₹12.00 (600 × ₹0.02).

6.1 Amount Debited but Campaign Not Created (Failed Transaction)

In rare cases, a network interruption between your bank, UPI app, and our payment aggregator (Razorpay) may cause your bank balance to be debited while the platform does not receive payment confirmation.

In such scenarios, Razorpay's automated reconciliation engine will mark the transaction as failed and initiate an auto-refund directly to your source account. In accordance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) circulars on turnaround times (TAT), auto-reversals are credited back within 5 to 7 working days.

6.2 Duplicate Deductions

If your bank or UPI account was charged twice for the same campaign order due to a retry or checkout lag, please email us with both transaction reference numbers. Upon gateway verification, the redundant transaction will be refunded in full within 24 to 48 business hours.

To submit a formal cancellation or refund request, please follow these simple steps:

1. Gather Campaign Details: Locate your Campaign ID, Campaign Tracking Token (provided upon submission and accessible on My Campaigns), and Razorpay Payment ID (`pay_...`).
2. Send Email to Support: Email us at support@pixir.in with the subject line formatted as: Refund Request - [Your Campaign Title].
3. State the Reason: Specify whether your request is due to campaign cancellation, duplicate charge, rejection, or technical billing discrepancy.
4. Verification & Initiation: Our billing team will verify your ledger records and confirm the approval or rejection of the refund within 24 to 48 business hours.

Once a refund is approved and initiated by Pixir, credit to your account is governed by banking network clearing cycles and our payment aggregator (Razorpay):

Note: Bank turnaround times are strictly subject to clearing house schedules, national banking holidays, and individual card issuer policies. Pixir cannot expedite processing once handed over to the banking network.

This policy is formulated in accordance with applicable Indian legal standards, including:

• The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 prohibiting unfair trade practices and mandating clear cancellation terms.
• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) circulars on Harmonisation of Turn Around Time (TAT) and customer compensation for failed transactions.
• The Information Technology Act, 2000 and intermediate guidelines for electronic contractual agreements.
